Strategic Plan

Arts Council Program and History Interpretation Services

The South Salt Lake Arts Council is looking forward to its next chapter. We have a century of history in our hands at Historic Scott School and look forward to many more years of joyful programming.

We have partnered with Create Today LLC to develop a strategic plan for our future. This project is made possible by generous funding from Salt Lake County Tourism, Recreation, Culture, and Convention Support Program (TRCC) and the City of South Salt Lake. The Create Today team has led many arts programming projects in the Salt Lake Valley and around the country. In addition, EDA Architects is leading an assessment and redesign of the buildings on the campus.

THE ROLE OF THE PUBLIC

This project will come together through implementation of three phases:

  • Listening Phase

  • Learning phase

  • Planning and Ensuring Success

The final deliverable will bean Arts Council Strategic Plan and Vision for Historic Scott School. The final plan will be a blend of inspiration, creativity, and operations, considering both the dreams and the reality of the City’s envisioned future. The plan will be finalized to incorporate any additional findings or changes from the previous workshop and community meetings.

Your input is needed for this plan to work. We will provide multiple opportunities for you to engage in this process. Please check our website, register for our newsletter, or follow us on Instagram for progress and input.

The LISTENING phase has begun. Here is the result from our first Planning Committee session. Please take a look and see what stands out to you. You can email arts@sslc.gov if you have an idea you would like to share.
